Terps Take On Annapolis

| What does it mean to be an advocate? It may be tweeting at your legislators, bragging about your degree on social media or sporting Terp gear.

| On Feb. 25, more than 50 Terps took their support to the next level at Terp Advocacy Day. Alumni, students and friends gathered in Annapolis to meet local legislators and voice support for the university’s initiatives.

In 1986, the Alumni Association got its start when the Maryland General Assembly realized the unique nature of our land-grant mission and allowed each institution to create its own alumni association. Today, we operate from the state-of-the-art Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center—we’ve come a long way in 30 years!
