In February 2006, the Museum of Art/Fort Lauderdale opened its doors exclusively to Maryland alumni for a private reception and tour of the exhibit “Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs.” Guests enjoyed a lively reception and heard from Marjorie Venit, professor of art history, before entering the intriguing exhibition that took them more than 3000 years back in time.
