Terps Take Manhattan

On May 11, the 26 + Helen Mills Theater opened its doors for Terps Take Manhattan, a special production for the University of Maryland’s New York audience. Some 200 alumni attended the event, enjoying a cocktail reception and lively panel discussion that featured sportscaster Bonnie Bernstein ’92, Pepsi executive Al Carey ’74, sportscaster and former Terp basketball player Len Elmore ’78 and men’s basketball coach Gary Williams ’68. Journalist and fellow alumna Connie Chung ’69 led the panel, covering such topics as leadership, education and commitment to alma mater.
