The University of Maryland Alumni Association hosted a festive event celebrating world-renowned architect of the alumni center and alumnus, Hugh Newell Jacobsen, ’51, ’93 D.F.A. (Honorary). On October 18, 2007 guests mingled in the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center with alumni and friends and enjoyed a program honoring the architect. After the program, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception as Jacobsen signed copies of his latest book, Hugh Newell Jacobsen, Architect: Works from 1993 to 2006.
