The University of Maryland’s famed
Clarice Smith Peforming Arts Center
is the venue for a scholarship benefit,
featuring the Pirates of Penzance.
The Gilbert and Sullivan classic will
be performed by Washington Savoyards,
with appearances by Maryland alumnus
and benefactor Robert Fischell ’53
M.S., ’96 D.Sc. (Hon.) and School
of Music alumna Stacey Mastrian M.M.
’02, D.M.A. ’07. Money raised
from the June 7 performance will support
scholarships for Maryland students in
the performing arts. Sponsorship opportunities
